Protection of Social and Political Rights of Religious Minority Groups

The project was implemented to focus on promoting inclusivity and pluralism while addressing issues of religious extremism, hate speech, and marginalisation of minority communities in Pakistan. This initiative utilised social media activism, capacity-building workshops, and collaboration with parliamentarians and mainstream media to amplify minority voices, bring their issues into public discourse, and advocate for systemic changes. A key aim was to create a counter-narrative to extremism and to foster a cohesive society by empowering individuals, particularly from marginalised groups, with tools and platforms to promote tolerance and highlight injustices.

The project emphasised effective communication strategies to achieve its goals. It included capacity-building workshops for social media activists to enhance their skills in blogging, advocacy, and online engagement. These activists highlighted impactful stories, which were shared on digital platforms and promoted through social media. Regular meetings between activists, journalists, and parliamentarians built bridges for improved representation of minority issues in mainstream media and policy-making. Public relations efforts focused on amplifying project achievements through publications, newsletters, social media, and video stories, ensuring broad visibility and stakeholder engagement.
