FCDO's Sustainable Energy & Economic Development Programme
OVERVIEW
SEED (Sustainable Energy & Economic Development) is a flagship economic development programme of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), implemented by Adam Smith International. It provides technical assistance to the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (GoKP) by introducing evidence-based policy interventions aimed at stabilising the province’s fiscal position, attracting investment, and accelerating economic recovery.
As the Communications Lead for the programme, a comprehensive communication strategy was developed and implemented to enhance SEED’s visibility and stakeholder engagement. Key tasks included updating the communication plan, managing social media platforms, and producing content such as visuals, email marketing campaigns, videos, and branding materials. The brand identity for the BIU and the plan for the Mind Lab room were developed, while media coverage was provided for events. Collaborations with government and institutional partners resulted in pitch decks being presented at the Dubai Expo, leading to MOUs in key green economic growth areas. Through strategic communication and cross-departmental coordination, SEED amplified public awareness, strengthened partnerships, and advanced transformative urban and economic initiatives.
