USAID Punjab Youth Workforce Development (PYWD) Programme

In 2016, WSP partnered with USAID to implement the Punjab Youth Workforce Development (PYWD) project, aimed at training and creating employment opportunities for 10,000 youths (35% women) aged 16–29 in southern Punjab districts. The three-year project focused on community engagement, institutional capacity building, and facilitating access to workforce education, providing technical training, career counselling, job placements, and support for entrepreneurship through interest-free loans.

Comprehensive communication strategies were designed to support project goals, including developing advocacy materials (brochures, newsletters, and fact sheets), drafting press and media content, and coordinating outreach campaigns. Key responsibilities included stakeholder engagement, event management, branding, and compliance with USAID guidelines. Digital and behaviour change campaigns, staff training on visual communication, and partnerships with media and production vendors.
